The EV9 is Kia's fresh addition, aiming to roll out 11 electric vehicles by 2026. Expect the EV9 to hit the market later in 2023.

Performance, Battery Life, and Fuel Economy


The basic Standard model has a 76.1-kWh lithium battery. Meanwhile, the Standard Long Range and all-wheel-drive models boast a more substantial 99.8-kWh battery.

According to Kia, the Long Range EV9 can cover up to 482 km on a single charge. The EV9 showcases impressive charging capabilities. You can swiftly recharge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using DC Fast Chargers.

The 2024 Kia EV9 equipped the SUV with a Synchronous Permanent Magnet Motor capable of providing a power output of 200 to 379 horsepower depending on the trim level. It boasts a torque of 258 to 516 lb-ft. The towing capacity is 907.2 kg for the base model and reaches 2263 kg in the higher trim levels.

Kia still needs to release specific details about the fuel consumption of the EV9. Based on our estimates, the EV9 might achieve fuel efficiency in the range of approximately 2.83 to 2.98 L/100km, depending on its drivetrain configuration.

Infotainment and Technology Features


Inside the EV9, two 12.3-inch screens dominate the dashboard, serving gauging and infotainment needs. This vehicle has a cutting-edge infotainment system, 12.3” Kia Connect, HD Radio, and eight speakers.

For those drawn to the more luxurious higher trim levels, anticipate features like Ambient Interior Lighting, a Meridian 14-speaker Premium Audio system, a Digital Rearview Mirror, and an advanced 12-inch HUD system.

Exterior Design


For the standard trims of the EV9, features include 19” wheels and a smart power liftgate. These models also sport projection LED headlights and silver-painted roof rails.

On the premium side, the EV9 boasts 20” wheels and advanced Cube LED headlights. There's a digital lighting grille to admire and a dual sunroof overhead. Further enhancements come with dark-coloured 21" wheels and distinct bridge-type roof rails,

The GT-Line Design Elements are reserved for the Land AWD GT-Line. These design touches range from gunmetal skid plates and bumper garnishes to glossy black accents and exclusive bumper designs.

Interior Comfort and Cargo Space


Inside every EV9, enjoy the comforts of a heated steering wheel, power seats for both the driver and passenger and multi-zone automatic climate control. The standard trims present spacious 7-passenger seating.

Higher trims showcase quilted synthetic leather seats. The driver's spot boasts memory and relaxation features. The second-row captain's chairs, mirroring the front seats, have heating, ventilation, and massaging capabilities. Behind, the EV9 offers a generous cargo space of about 566 litres.

Kia reserved exclusive design touches and colours for the GT-Line, complemented by a suede headliner. Passengers and those in the 2nd row can enjoy relaxation seats, ensuring a comfortable ride.

Safety and Driver Assistance


All EV9 models prioritize your safety. Each has an Advanced Driving Safety Suite, a rear-view camera, and ten robust airbags. On the road, Lane Follow Assist and Lane Keep Assist Systems guide your path, while the Highway Drive Assist 3 offers an extra layer of protection.

In the premium trims, features get even richer. You'll appreciate the Blind View Monitor and the Surround View Monitor. There's the Parking Distance Warning - Side and the Parking Collision Avoidance Assist - Reverse. The advanced Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 is exclusive to the Land AWD GT-Line.
