Kia Canada Opens the 2027 EV3 Lineup From $36,995 Ahead of This Month’s Arrival

Kia has published Canadian pricing for the all-new 2027 EV3, and Ontario shoppers now have real numbers instead of guesses. If you have been holding off on a decision until pricing landed, this is the article to read first.

The EV3 joins Kia’s EV4 and EV5 as the third model in an affordable electric lineup, and it slots in as the brand’s subcompact SUV entry. Here is what is locked in, trim by trim.

What’s Confirmed for the 2027 EV3

Kia has released MSRP for all ten EV3 configurations, from Light FWD through GT AWD. The Light FWD opens the lineup at $36,995 MSRP, built on Kia’s 400V E-GMP platform.

Every EV3 uses a NACS charging port, so DC fast charging and home Level 2 charging both run through the same connector. The lineup splits into two battery paths: a 58.3 kWh standard-range pack and an 81.4 kWh long-range pack.

Front-wheel drive is available across most of the lineup, and all-wheel drive becomes an option once you move to the 81.4 kWh battery. GT AWD is the one exception: it ships with AWD standard and is available by factory order only.

Light FWD stands alone as the only trim on the smaller 58.3 kWh battery, rated at 356 km of range. Every other trim shares the 81.4 kWh pack, and that shared battery is what shapes the next round of decisions.

Moving from Light FWD to Wind FWD costs $4,000 and buys the long-range battery, rated at 517 km, plus a heat pump for cold-weather efficiency. From there, AWD adds exactly $2,500 on every trim that offers it: Wind, Land, GT-Line, and GT-Line Limited all charge the same $2,500 premium for all-wheel drive.

Their AWD variants trade the FWD versions’ 517 km for a Kia-estimated 451 km, the tradeoff for the added motor and weight.

Land FWD sits at $43,495, the same price as Wind AWD, so that’s a genuine either/or decision: extra traction or extra content. Land adds 19-inch wheels, a wide sunroof, synthetic leather seats, a power driver’s seat with lumbar support, and a smart power liftgate over Wind.

GT-Line FWD, at $45,995, layers in sportier 19-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, a memory driver’s seat, and a power passenger seat. GT-Line Limited adds another $4,000 on top of GT-Line for heated rear seats and a digital key.

At the top, GT AWD costs $55,995 and swaps the shared 262 hp / 284 lb-ft AWD tune for a dedicated 288 hp and 345 lb-ft, plus neon caliper accents and a GT-specific interior. Because it’s a factory-order trim, it runs on its own timeline separate from the rest of the lineup.

What Matters for Ontario Shoppers Right Now

Every EV3 configuration charges DC fast at up to 350 kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 31 minutes. Level 2 home charging covers a full charge in roughly 7 hours, and the onboard charger handles up to 11.5 kW.

Cargo space behind the rear seats runs to 740 L with the floor in its low position, plus a 25 L front trunk for a charging cable or gear that shouldn’t ride in the cabin. Second-row hip room measures 1,345 mm, so this subcompact SUV is built to carry passengers comfortably, not just cargo.

Every EV3 starts with a standard safety suite confirmed on the base Light FWD trim:

  • Eight airbags, including full-length side curtain coverage
  • Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with junction turning
  • Highway Driving Assist 1 with Smart Cruise Control and Stop and Go
  • Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist

The 12.3-inch cluster and 12.3-inch multimedia display, both with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, are part of that same base trim, so the core tech experience doesn’t wait for a higher trim to show up.

Getting a 2027 EV3 to Ontario

Pricing is now locked in for every trim in the lineup, which is the piece Ontario shoppers have been waiting on. Physical units are still making their way to Canadian dealerships, and GT AWD orders run on their own factory-order schedule separate from the rest of the range.

That gap between confirmed pricing and vehicles reaching lots is normal for a new model launch, and it’s the right window to start narrowing down a trim before inventory decisions come into play.

Your Next Step With the 2027 EV3

The 2027 EV3 gives Ontario shoppers ten configurations to weigh, from the $36,995 Light FWD to the factory-order GT AWD, with range and equipment scaling clearly at each price step.
